On Friday 7th September, Chris Ingam, one of Britain’s most celebrated mainstream pianists brings his trio to Church Street Tavern for the opening event of our exciting new jazz series. Expect an evening of swinging tunes and anecdote from these Ronnie Scott’s regulars. Chris Ingham (piano), Russell Swift (bass) and George Double (drums). Candlelit, informal, great live music with food and cocktails, we’re bringing a flavour of Ronnie Scott’s to Colchester.

Music will start sharp at 7.30pm. We’ll be serving specially curated cocktails (one included in ticket price) and food will be flowing from the kitchen throughout the evening on platters for you to share with your guests, such as:

Baked Tunworth Cheese with walnuts, honey and breadsticks.
Cauliflower Pakoras with Tamarind and raisin yoghurt.
Grilled purple sprouting broccoli with creme fraiche and almonds.
Fresh Crab with baby gem hearts and Dukkah
Smoked mackerel pate. Ciabatta toasts.
Cured meats and terrine with pickles and toast.
Skirt steak ‘tagliata’ with balsamic and roast shallots.
Sutton Hoo Chicken on Rosemary Skewers with garlic aioli.
A choice selection of English Cheeses.
